Soy Wax
Bougie Beach Candle utilizes 100% natural American soybean wax. Soy wax is a hydrogenated form of soybean oil which is extracted from soy bean plants, a natural, renewable and sustainable resource.
Soy wax produces zero petrol-carbon soot, which means no black residue on walls, drapes and home furnishings. Because soy wax is non-toxic and burns clean, it is safe for people with asthma & allergies. if a product doesn't say "100% soy wax", it may contain paraffin. Paraffin releases unwanted toxins into the air.
Soy wax burns up to 50% longer than paraffin wax because it melts at a cooler temperature and doesn’t burn as fast.
Coconut Apricot Wax
Beginning in 2023, Bougie Beach added a luxurious Candle collection utilizing an all-natural APRICOT SOY COCONUT WAX BLEND. IT IS THE FINEST, COMPLETELY PLANT-BASED, WAX ON THE MARKET. MANY WAX BLENDS ON THE MARKET, TODAY, STILL INCORPORATE PARAFFIN wax.
Coconut wax candles have one of the longest burn times and ensure an even burn. Coconuts and apricot create a superb scent throw. One that some say is unbeatable. Apricots are specifically added to the coconut wax for scent performance.

Fragrance Oils
We only work with fragrances that are all natural and infused with essential oils, and phthalate free. We also make sure the fragrance oils are rated to throw a scent with soy wax.
Parabens are preservatives used in water-based products like lotions and creams so they are not found in fragrance oils or wax.
100% Cotton Candle Wicks
Our candle wicks are flat cotton wicks that are braided with a thin paper thread layer which allows the wick to have an easy to use rigid structure without the need for a core.
The wicks are lead and zinc free. Our all natural wicks encourage a clean, aromatic burn.
100% Fractionated Coconut Oil
Fractionated coconut oil is also known as MCT coconut oil. Medium-Chain Triglycerides, MCT, is what's left after virgin coconut oil has been distilled and the long-chain fatty acids are removed.
What remains is an ultralight, odorless coconut oil that stays liquid in form at cooler temps. It is highly stable and resistant to oxidation. Oxidation is what causes regular oils to become discolored, or yellow-ish.
Bougie Beach Candle uses 100% Fractionated Coconut Oil as the base for its reed diffusers because it is a thinner oil allowing the liquid to travel and saturate the reeds more effectively.
DENATURED Alcohol (PERFUMER'S ALCOHOL)
For any type of spray, once a fragrance formula has been devised, the raw materials need to be added to a carrier. Perfumer’s alcohol acts as a base material that “carries” the scent. An alcohol-based carrier carries the scent further versus an oil-based carrier.
Our perfumer’s alcohol contains only ethanol and is denatured using a substance called Bitrix. Bitrix is used simply for the purposes of making the alcohol undrinkable. At 200 proof, our sprays are sanitizing.
Rattan Reeds
The best reed sticks are made of all-natural rattan, which are not hollow.
Rattan reeds typically have 20 or more channels that suck the fragrance oil from the container and release it through an evaporation diffusion process, that slowly permeates the room with wonderful scents.
